Inventory

Module guide

Inventory is the foundation for sales and purchase. You define where stock lives (warehouses and bins), what you stock (products), and how much you have (movements, receipts, transfers, adjustments, and counts).
How to use every screen? Inventory — how to use — full step-by-step guide.
Who uses this? Users with the Inventory role (or owners) see the Inventory sidebar group. Purchase and sales teams rely on accurate stock for fulfilment and GRN.

Recommended setup order

  1. Create categories to group products.
  2. Add warehouses (and bins if you track locations inside a warehouse).
  3. Create products with SKU, unit of measure, and default warehouse if needed.
  4. Receive opening stock via Goods receipt or Stock adjustment.
  5. Use Stock availability to verify quantities before selling or purchasing.

  2. Sales — Orders and fulfilment reduce stock via movements.
  3. Accounting — Valuation and COGS may post from inventory transactions depending on COA setup.

Common questions

Why is available qty zero but I received a PO?

Confirm the GRN was posted to the correct warehouse and product. Check Stock movements.

Can I delete a product?

Products with history are usually archived or deactivated rather than deleted.
